China is a major toy manufacturing country in the world. However, the production structure dominated by OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) processing has led to a relatively low overall quality level of toys in our country. Some enterprises still lack attention to toy performance, production processes and packaging. There are problems such as small parts, sharp edges and corners, and non-compliant warning labels on the products. Unqualified products, after reasonable abuse, may have small parts fall off or break, which can easily cause children to swallow or get injured, thus damaging their physical and mental health.

The Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau of Gansu Province organized a risk monitoring of 40 batches of children's toys in circulation and distribution in the market. Among them, 27 batches met the safety project index requirements, while 13 batches did not, with a project index compliance rate of 67.5%. The monitoring results show that 13 batches of products failed to meet the requirements. In addition, 35% of the samples collected in the monitoring did not have the enterprise name marked, 37.5% did not have the enterprise address marked, and 32.5% had no marking at all, which are all unqualified products. Most of these products were sold in night markets or trade markets.

The Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau of Gansu Province reminds consumers that when purchasing children's toys, they should try to buy from regular shopping malls and supermarkets and look for the "3C" certification mark. Verify the authenticity of the "3C" mark before making a purchase to prevent unnecessary harm to children.
